Upcoming Scheduled Maintenance
In an effort to continue our proactive approach to security and stability, ECSI has several upcoming events that will affect the availability of our systems and services on weekends in October. Our intention is to provide as much notice as possible. However, due to the nature of these procedures, it is difficult to forecast specific time frames (other than indicated below) in which a service interruption may need to occur. To clarify, NO service outages are scheduled to occur during ECSI's standard operating hours Monday thru Friday. Also, should circumstances demand rescheduling tasks to a future weekend, we will do our very best to alert you. Thank you for your understanding and please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns regarding this matter.

Upcoming Events:

Firewall Replacement
On Saturday October 7, 2006 ECSI will be performing an upgrade/replacement of our primary Internet firewall device. This event will begin at 2 PM EST and WILL affect ALL Internet access to our systems. We expect to have NO Internet availability for at least a 4 hour period while equipment and configuration changes are made.

Electrical Wiring/Generator Failover Testing
This event is dependent on the delivery of materials and service availability of our electrical contractor. To minimize prolonged periods of downtime, services were separated to take place over two weekends. This is tentatively scheduled to begin on the weekend of October 14, 2006 and finish on the weekend of October 21, 2006. Downtime would occur in the afternoon hours on the weekend and should be limited to 4 hours per weekend.

Phone System Replacement
This event is scheduled to begin on Friday October 27, 2006 after 8:30 PM EST. Voice lines would be down over the weekend but no other services will be affected.

FTP Server Upgrade
New FTP Server program on a new Server box is currently being staged/tested. We do not have an exact switchover date as the preceding events may impact the install date. FTP service will be affected. We will provide an additional update as this event approaches.
