The Department of Education has recently released a "Dear Colleague Letter" related to the Perkins Loan Service
Cancellation Reimbursement. There are several questions and answers pertaining to how your school will receive
these funds, how the Department of Education calculated the amount your school will receive, and where to report
these on the FISAP.
If you want this reimbursement included on the FISAP that ECSI supplies through SAL, you will need to input this
amount as a Journal Entry. You should input it into the category 'EJ' or 'Reimbursements to Fund' from the General
Ledger Screen. You can also e-mail the adjustment to admin@ecsi.net to
have ECSI input it for you. Be sure to include the dollar amount and a description stating that the dollar amount
is for the Perkins Loan Service Cancellation Reimbursement.
