Department of Education Changes Regulations to Accept Electronic Signatures

According to the Chronicle of Higher Education, the Department of Education has made regulation changes to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, or Ferpa, that allow a student's personal data to be released by electronic signature. In the past, this type of data could only be released with a handwritten signature.
