ECSI is pleased to announce several enhancements to our Direct Payment service. Most of these enhancements were suggested by the users. A sincere "Thank You!" to everyone who provided suggestions to make the service better.

Make Direct Payment
1. Borrowers may now select one of the next four Fridays to have their payment deducted from their checking or saving account. Borrowers can also elect to retain the school's scheduled payment date, if they prefer. Note: this feature is only available to borrowers making one-time payments. Permanent payments will still be drawn on the school's schedule date.
2. The Direct Payment entry page and the Direct Payment Authorization Page have been changed to more clearly show which date the payment will be drawn.

Direct Payment History
1. A "View" button has been added to the Direct Payment History page. You can now view the entire contract submitted.
2. The View Direct Payment Contact will show the balance, payoff and current due as of the date the transaction was submitted. This is only valid for payments made on or after 3/26/2001.
3. Pending transactions will now show the anticipated payment date
4. The status description has been changed to make certain items more clear.
5. Status descriptions were added to denote payments that were NSF and payments that were rejected by our bank for invalid routing or account information.
