ECSI is pleased to announce the immediate release of our new Borrower Area on our web site. Our new site is the result of countless suggestions by borrowers requesting services or information that they would like to have. ECSI has invested over one year in the design, preparation and deployment of this new service.

The Borrower Home Page has been organized and is much cleaner. All the information that a borrower would find useful is now available in a single location. The Borrower Home Page is also the entry point to the new My Account service which provides the borrower on-line access to manage their account, receive and pay their bills electronically, review their account and demographic information and electronically interact with our Customer Service department.

Unlike our prior Account Status feature (released in June 1998), the new My Account service is fully expandable. New services and features can be added easily without long delays. Some of the features currently under development include a mechanism to track all customer service requests that a borrower makes from initial submission through completion -- no more wondering if an issue is being resolved.

Security was paramount in the design of our new service. Ensuring a secure connection is now much easier using the entries in the site's table of contents. A user's ID and password are only passed once per session, minimizing the window of opportunity for someone to intercept communications. Sessions are timed to logoff automatically after fifteen minutes of inactivity. In addition, all information held on our servers is fully encrypted in the unlikely event that our security measures are breached.

To prepare for the release of the new site, our Privacy Policy has been review and revised. In an age of increasing invasions and abuses of Internet user's privacy, we felt it necessary to fully disclose how the information collected will be used. We also want our visitors to feel comfortable in our assurance that every possible protection has been put in place to protect them and their information. We feel our privacy policy is among the strongest and most comprehensive available at this time.
