In the past, borrowers had to call their school or ECSI to request Cancellation, Deferment or Forbearance forms. These forms were then mailed to the borrower, resulting in a delay of several days. Effective November 22, 1999 borrowers can retrieve the forms directly from ECSI's web site.

The forms available on the ECSI Web site require the free Adobe Acrobat reader, a very popular tool for viewing forms. In its simplest form, you can simply print the form and complete the information by hand. We have also provided the ability for you to enter the majority of the information directly onto the form while it is on display. When you have completed entering the information, you can print the form.

If you wish to take advantage of the ability to enter your information onto the form, we recommend you get the latest version of the Acrobat Reader. While version 3.0 will work, version 4.0 is required to take advantage of the enhanced form functions.

Regardless of method you use to fill out the form (by hand or electronically), you will still need to sign the form and return it to ECSI or your school.
