The interest free Monthly Payment Plan (MPP), administered by Educational Computer Systems, Inc. (ECSI), is a convenient alternative to lump-sum term payments.

Easy-to-use

Any parent, guardian or student at Jacksonville University is eligible for this plan. By joining the Monthly Payment Plan, you are able to pay your tuition on a monthly schedule instead of one lump sum each term. Upon receipt of your application and fee, ECSI will automatically establish your account and notify the college of your participation in the plan.

We offer monthly automatic deductions from a personal bank account (ACH), electronic bills sent to you via e-mail, and on-line payment. If you are interested in one of these payment options you can visit the ECSI website [www.ecsi.net] for more details. You can also indicate your preference for one of these options on the application.

Interest Free

This is an interest free plan. You can participate in this plan and pay monthly without accruing interest, by making your scheduled monthly payments on time.

Simple Payment Schedule

As a plan participant, you make equal monthly payments beginning as early as April 1. Please see the table that follows for the payment schedule options. ECSI offers electronic statements. If you prefer, ECSI will mail your monthly statement.

Please note that payments are due on the fifteenth of every month. Accounts with payments not received by the fifteenth of the month may be subject to a late fee or your account will be closed if payment in not received within 10 days of the due date. The MPP will not be considered as payment on the sudent account if any payment is delinquent.

ECSI provides a detailed status of your account to Jacksonville University each month.

How to Enroll

To enroll online, go to www.ecsi.net and click on the STUDENT link and select Jacksonville University from the list of schools.

Once you are enrolled in the plan, you will receive an e-mail from ECSI. ECSI will notify you electronically or mail your monthly bills on the first of the month and payments are due on the fifteenth of the same month.

Questions

Call ECSI at 866-927-1438. They will receive your application, send your monthly payment plan bill, and receive payments for credit to your account. They are open Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 8:00 pm.

Terms/Conditions

The participant will make the required monthly payments by check or money order in U.S. Dollars, by credit card, bank draft (ACH), or electronic payment to Jacksonville University, c/o ECSI at such times and in such a manner that the full amount of each payment will be received on or before the fifteenth day of each month in which it is due. The amount of the monthly payment shall be credited to the participant's account with ECSI. A $25 service fee will be charged for all returned checks by ECSI and the service fee will be added to your next month's payments, in addition to any charges that may be assessed by your bank or school to your account.

ECSI will disburse the balance in the participant's account to Jacksonville University as required by the school until such a time as all funds are disbursed in full, or the account is closed for any reason. The obligation of ECSI to make disbursements to the school shall at all times be limited to the amount in the participant's account.

If any payment due is not received by the close of business on the last day of the month following the month in which it is due, the participant's plan will be terminated.

The participant may terminate the Agreement at any time by written notice to ECSI in which ECSI shall pay the balance in the account to the school unless written instructions to the contrary are received from the school. The Agreement will terminate in any event upon plan termination due to delinquency or upon the making of the final school disbursement.

Bank Draft Option Instructions/Terms and Conditions

To activate- Payments for fee(s) charged by Jacksonville University may be drafted from a bank account through an automated clearing house (ACH) debit. To participate, please complete the Automatic Payments section at the bottom of the Jacksonville University Monthly Payment Plan Application.

First withdrawal date- You will be notified by ECSI, via e-mail, when the first debit will occur. The start date is determined by processing time. Applications and fees received by the 25th of the month will be drafted on the 10th day of the following month. Payments will be withdrawn from your account on the 10th business day of each month. A record of each charge will be included in your regular bank statements and will serve as your receipt.

Placing a 'Stop Payment'- You have the right to stop payment by notifying your bank three business days before the checking account is charged.

Canceling the direct debit- This authorization is to remain in effect until the Monthly Payment Plan ends or is canceled by the bank or customer in writing at least five business days before the withdrawal occurs.

Returned payments- Monthly payments returned to ECSI for insufficient funds will be charged a fee of $25, and will be deducted from the next remittance forwarded to Jacksonville University. Withdrawals refused for two consecutive months will result in automatic cancellation of the Monthly Payment Plan.

ECSI is not responsible for bank errors. Please keep a copy of this agreement for your records.
