This document assumes that you have already installed Internet Explorer 4.0 newsreader, which is available as part of Internet Explorer or Microsoft's Outlook. These instructions begin after the installation is complete.

1. Start Internet Explorer 4.0.
2. From the menu select Go, News.
3. Enter name (full name) and press the Next button.
4. Enter email address and press the Next button.
5. Enter news server ecsi.net and press the Next button
6. Check the box marked "My news server requires me to logon".
7. Select Log on using
   1. News account name: {your ecsi user id}
   2. Password: {your ecsi password}
   3. press the next button
8. Internet News Account Name: ECSI
9. Select: Connect using Local Area Network (LAN).
10. From the menu, select Tools, Newsgroups
11. Select the newsgroups you wish to participate and press the Subscribe button.
