The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has established standards to be followed for the implementation of electronic signatures on promissory notes. The loan programs influenced by these standards are the Health Professions Student Loan (HPSL)/Primary Care Loan (PCL)/Loans for Disadvantaged Students (LDS) and the Nursing Student Loan (NSL) programs.
