Kalamazoo College is pleased to offer an interest-free Installment Payment Plan to help students and parents make their education affordable. The plan permits for payment of tuition, room and board in monthly installments over the course of the quarter instead of in one lump sum prior to the start of the quarter. The annual budget amount is determined by calculating the total costs of the student's full academic year, subtracting any scholarships or other funds that will contribute to the college costs, and arriving at the amount the family will be expected to pay.

A non-refundable administration fee must accompany the application before processing can begin. This is a graduated fee based on the time of application.

Payments are due on the fifteenth of each month. If you wish to take full advantage of this monthly payment plan, we urge you to make application by June 15; however, enrollment is permissible until Septemer 15. Enrollment after September is not permitted.

First, determine your annual budget amount using the worksheet.

• Determine your total annual expenses using the cost figures provided.
• Enter your financial aid, student loans, scholarships, and other funds that will be applied to your account. Refer to your financial aid award letter for credit information.
• Determine if you will apply for a PLUS or other alternative student loan.
• The worksheet will subtract that total credits from the total of the charges to arrive at your annual budget figure. Divide this number by the number of months in your payment plan choice to determine your monthly payment amount.

Next, complete the application and return it by your payment plan choice deadline. Include with your application, your first monthly payment and the non-refundable application fee made payable to Kalamazoo College, and send it to:

Upon receipt of your application fee and your first payment, we will establish your account and you will be billed on the first of every month for your remaining payments. PAYMENTS WILL BE DUE BY THE 15TH OF EACH MONTH.

If your financial circumstances change after enrollment in the plan, you may adjust your annual budget figure simply by calling ECSI at 866-927-1438.

Educational Computer Systems, Inc. is our payment plan administrator. They will receive your application, send you your monthly payment plan bill, and receive your payments for credit to your account. They are open Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Please use the worksheet to determine your monthly payments. Fall bills will be mailed in mid August and will be due by mid September. Winter bills will be mailed in late November and will be due by mid December. Spring bills will then be mailed in late February and will be due by mid March.
