ECSI is required to periodically conduct an external vulnerability assessment of our network in order
to be compliant with the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. The PCI standard implements
common industry security requirements for all merchants and service providers that store, process, or
transmit credit card data. The purpose of PCI compliance is to ensure that all entities involved in the
payment industry are taking the steps necessary to protect against cardholder data exposure and compromise.
Compliance with the PCI standard gives ECSI's clients the peace of mind that our credit card system is in line
with industry standards. Furthermore, it demonstrates that ECSI is concerned with the safety of their students
and borrowers' credit card data.
